Homework Assignment 1

1. Copy and past the following questions to a Microsoft Word document, type your answers to the questions, and turn in a printed copy.

1) What is your name?

2) What is your major?  When do you expect to graduate? 

3) Why are you taking this course?  (required, supposed to be easy grade, thought it might be useful, etc, etc)

4) How many years have you used a computer? What have you used computers for before this course? 

5) What computer applications do you think you know well enough that you could explain them to your neighbor? Have you ever done any computer programming?  If so, describe it. 

6) What is your email address at CSUSM? What is the email address of your instructor?

7) What is the web address of the course web site?

8) What is the item 10 in the “General requirements and policies” section of the syllabus?

9)   Have you passed the CCR (Computer Competency Requirement)?

2. Finish hands-on exercise 2 and 3 from page 21 – 40 of the textbook “Exploring Microsoft Office 2003” and turn in the printout on page 40.
