Open a Word document and save as internet underscore your last name.doc. Example: internet_hogan.doc Complete the following 10 items for this activity.  Create a heading "Internet Activity"  with your name at the top of the page.
1.    Click on terms.  Study the terms that you are not familiar with.  Define at least five new terms from the list and paste or type the definitions into your word document.

2.    After reviewing the article Internet’s Impact on the Classroomwrite about an issue you feel is important to consider in order to address equal access and use of the Internet. Include your ideas for a solution (One paragraph).

3.    Explore the SDCOE K-12 Resources for the topic and grade level you have selected. List names and URLs for three sites in a table with two columns and three rows.  (You may want to Backflip these as well as the SDCOE k-12 Resources site.)  

4.  Go to the ISTE Web site and find the NETS for Students. Read the performance profile for the grade range you would like to teach.  Paste one of the Performance Indicators into your Word document and give the grade range.

6.    Read one of the articles on Mobile Technology, summarize the key points and discuss your reaction.

7.    Explore pages 2.50-2.57 in your text. Go to textbook Web site, click on chapter 2, and then click on Guide to World Wide Web Sites and Searching Techniques (located at the bottom). Select a listed Web site that you think would be helpful in the classroom and discuss its appropriate use in a paragraph.

8.    Go to Kathy Schrock’s Guide for Educators http://school.discovery.com/schrockguide/  Write a review of one Web site appropriate for use in your classroom (one paragraph).

9.    Visit the  California Learning Resource Network [CLRN]. Click on a curriculum area and discover what you can find here. Write a paragraph describing this teacher resource.
