Internet Treasure Hunt Assignment

Follow your goal

  1. Link here to the California State Standards. Choose one or two standards for a  grade level and subject of your choice. 
  2. Create a new page on your teacher web site or use the Filamentality Website to start your Treasure Hunt
  3. Create 10 questions or activities that you want your students to answer or experience.
  4. Find 5 wonderful web sites that will help your students uncover the learning that you are aiming for. 
  5. Use the Filamentality Website to go through the steps of "weaving" a Filamentality Hunt or create a nice looking activity right on your Google Sites web page.  Here is a link to a sample hunt page created in Filamentality: Sample Student Lessons

    • If you choose to do this in Google Sites, be sure to look at the Sample Student Lessons and organize your page in the same way.  You don't need to make the organizationa l(introduction,..)links within the page and you don't need to have such a complete footer to your page, these are done automatically in Filamentality
    • You need to have, an introduction with the state standard and something catchy for your introduction, 10 questions, 5 linked web sites, and a big ideas questions at the end.

     

  6. To turn in your assignment just copy the web address of your page into the submission area of WebCT
