Exam 1 study guide
- Closed notes, closed books, no scratch paper needed.
- No graphing/programmable calculators allowed, but simple
calculators are OK.
- Please write in pencil, so that your exam doesn't look
like a battlefield after you "erased" something.
- If I can't read something, it's your problem!
- This exam will be covering all of Chapter 1, stories 1,2,3,7
and Sections 2.1 - 2.4 and 2.6.
- You should be familiar with all the terminology we are using.
- I suggest doing as many of the following problems as you can
(at least one of them will be on the exam):
- pg 28 #12
- pg 44 #6; pg 45 #4
- pg 58 #5; pg 60 #16-18
- pg 78 #4,10; pg 79 #16,17
- pg 90 #3; pg 91 #9,10; pg 92 #16,19; pg 93 #3
- pg 120 #4; pg 121 #12,13,17; pg 122 #3,8
- If you have the time for it, then doing extra problems
from the book is the way to go in any Math class.
The more you work with the concepts, the "readier" you are going to be.
- Some problems on the exam may throw you off at first.
Make sure that you get a good nights sleep, so that you are fresh,
rested and ready to go!
