Final Exam study guide
- Bring your student ID to the final!
- The final exam is comprehensive with an emphasis on Sections
4.5/6, 5.1/2/3, 7.1/2.
- Closed notes, closed books, no scratch paper needed.
- No graphing/programmable calculators allowed, but simple
calculators are OK.
- Since we had many results in this class you will be allowed to use
a cheat sheet on this exam:
- Your sheet should be one 8.5 x 11 page.
- You can use front and back side.
- Your sheet must be handwritten, not typed or photocopied.
- Your sheet can contain whatever information you find useful.
- Please write in pencil, so that your exam doesn't look
like a battlefield after you "erased" something.
- If I can't read something, it's your problem!
- You should be familiar with all the terminology we are using.
- Anything we discussed this semester in class or on homework is
fair game, so make sure to review this material.
- Also go over the review sheets for exams 1 and 2 again.
- I suggest doing as many of the following problems as you can
(at least one of them will be on the exam):
- Put a special emphasis on sections you know you had difficulties
with.
- pg 284 # 3
- pg 285 # 9,10,1
- pg 301 # 14,16
- pg 338 # 1
- pg 339 # 10,13,14
- pg 340 # 15
- pg 341 # 3,7,8
- pg 352 # 7,8,9,10
- pg 353 # 13,14,15
- pg 365 # 3,7
- pg 366 # 9
- pg 367 # 17,18,19,20
- pg 534 # 8,10,12
- pg 535 # 14,15,20,1,2
- pg 548 # 16,17
- pg 548 # 7,8
- If you have the time for it, then doing extra problems
from the book is the way to go in any Math class.
The more you work with the concepts, the "readier" you are going to be.
- Some problems on the exam may throw you off at first.
Make sure that you get a good nights sleep, so that you are fresh,
rested and ready to go!
