MKTG 442: Recommended Content of Team Survey Report
Start with a short, concise Executive Summary of
the:
• Purpose
• Intended
Use
• Major Findings
of your survey. Make all three items simple, clear, concise, and
distinctive. This is what would
normally be read by the client of the survey. This should be followed
by the body of the report, which should contain individual sections as named
in bold below:
- Introduction: Background on the company and problem to
be solved; relevant secondary data findings and implications of that data, if any.
- Methodology: A brief section which
describes how you conducted your survey (poll audience, sampling method,
etc.).
- Response Summary: A copy of your actual
survey questions with the percentage distributions
of responses obtained for each
of the questions.
- Analysis: Narrative
text with clearly labeled graphs, charts, or tables that portray
possible
relationships
of responses
from your survey. Highlight any important relationships found.
- Conclusions and Recommendations: Conclusions drawn from
the study and your recommendations.
- Optional Technical Appendix describing relevant
statistical analysis of results, if any.
There
is no length requirement, please use good judgment in making the report both
succinct
and
complete.
