I agree 100% that the marriage is constantly evolving into something else. Whether this evolution is a good or bad thing is in the eye of the beholder. We have seen the women's role in society increase to many spectrums that were once only available to men. However, I don't think that we will ever see the day when the majority of women take out of the household roles to a point where it outnumbers men. Whether this is right or wrong, I don't have an opinion. I just think no matter how much we have evolved, women have always played a more passive role in society. I think this comes from women's ability to be nuturing and caring. These are traits not seen as much in males or at least not to the degree of a woman's. In the end, the fact that 90% of people getting married does say something. With such an outstanding percent, one could hardly say marriage is deteriorating.
