Layers and Flash Files

This page contains movies which are embedded in layers or in Flash files. You can download this page if you want to look at the html and to see how the page is contructed. If you download it, you do not have to upload it again, as the original html file stays on the courses server.

This above movie has a layer positioned over a jpeg.
The move is a _MSTR movie, and loads upredictably.
I wouldn't recommend this when using layers.

This movie on the right utilizes
two layers and a progressive
quicktime movie. Layer A contains
the background jpeg, and Layer B
contains the quicktime progessive
movie on the courses server in my
folder. The way this loads is
very predictable. The layers can
be placed anywhere on the page.

this movie about is a .swf file created using the application Flash.
The movie is embedded directly into the Flash file, and a
controller is added through using the component in the
Flash application folder. This is outlined in your reader.
