Syllabus Tool
Putting your syllabus online saves the cost of copying and also is very convenient for your students. WebCT offers a syllabus template where you can fill in the different sections. Most instructors simply upload their syllabus file.
Your syllabus can be created and uploaded as a Word file but students need to download a Word file in order to read it or print it. If you convert your Word file into a pdf file, students will be able to open and print your syllabus directly in WebCT.
One way to convert a Word file to a pdf file is to open the file with Adobe Acrobat Professional and save it. This program is available in the Technology Resource Center (Kellogg 2414).
If your syllabus is a html file (web page), it will also open in WebCT, although the page breaks may be different.
